X Live Studio (Beta): Scheduling, OBS/RTMP Support, Real-Time Analytics & Chat Controls
X has launched Live Studio (beta) — a completely redesigned livestreaming control room built directly into Creator Studio. It replaces Media Studio Producer and brings stream scheduling, RTMP encoder support (OBS, Streamlabs, vMix), real-time audience analytics, and granular chat controls into a single dashboard. X Premium users can access it now at x.com/i/live-studio.

What Is X Live Studio?
Live Studio is X's new dedicated broadcast management interface inside Creator Studio. It is designed to give creators everything they need to create, manage, and grow livestreams from a single place — whether you're hosting a live show, covering breaking news, streaming an event, or talking directly with your audience.
To get started: open Creator Studio → Live Studio or go directly to x.com/i/live-studio. The existing Media Studio Producer experience remains available for now during the beta period.
X Live Studio Features
Create & Schedule Livestreams
Click New Livestream, pick your source, upload a thumbnail, configure audience settings, then go live immediately or schedule up to one year in advance. Every scheduled stream gets countdown timers and auto or manual start options.
Real-Time Audience Analytics
Track concurrent viewers, viewer activity, watch time, chat participation, top countries, and device breakdown — all updating live. Metrics stay available after the stream ends for post-broadcast analysis.
Manage Your Stream While Live
Update stream title, adjust audience and chat settings, enable or disable chat, and control who can participate — all without stopping the broadcast.
Professional RTMP Support
Connect OBS, Streamlabs, vMix, Wirecast, or any RTMP encoder. Reuse RTMP sources across broadcasts, create private test streams, configure geo-restrictions, and download completed livestreams after they end.
Share Anywhere
Post your livestream directly to X, copy the URL, or generate embed code to share across newsletters, blogs, and partner sites — reaching viewers beyond the X platform.
Smarter Chat Audience Controls
Choose who can chat: Everyone, Verified Accounts, Accounts You Follow, Subscribers, or disable chat entirely. These controls can be updated before and during your stream.
Chat Audience Options
Every livestream includes customizable chat audience settings you can adjust before and during the stream.
| Chat audience | Who can chat |
|---|---|
| Everyone | Open to all viewers |
| Verified Accounts | X-verified profiles only |
| Accounts You Follow | Your existing community |
| Subscribers | Paid subscribers only |
| Chat Off | Broadcast-only mode |

What's Next for X Live Studio
X confirmed Live Studio is the future of livestreaming on the platform and that more tools will be added over time. The current Media Studio Producer experience remains available during the beta period while features are being finalized. X Premium is required to access Live Studio — non-Premium users retain access to standard X Live.
