Epic confirmed it on September 14 with three words — “See you soon, @ironmouse” — and a piece of key art that has since passed 1.9 million views. The set lands September 18 at 5:00 PM PT with two Outfits, two Emotes, a Pickaxe and a guitar, and it makes her the first VTuber with a playable Icon Series Outfit.

| 2 Emotes | Contents not detailed ahead of release. |
| Pickaxe | Shown first in Ironmouse's own teaser on September 12. |

Pricing has not been announced. Recent Icon Series Outfits have landed around 1,500–1,800 V-Bucks with a discounted bundle, but that is a pattern from past sets rather than a confirmed figure — wait for the Item Shop on the 18th.

She Does Not Play Fortnite
This is the part worth pausing on. Across 2025 and 2026, Ironmouse has zero recorded hours streaming Fortnite on Twitch. Her 2026 is Just Chatting (3.82M hours watched) and IRL (1.19M), with her game time going to Warframe, Hytale, Tomodachi Life and Kingdom Hearts.
The Icon Series was built on the opposite premise. Ninja, Loserfruit, Lachlan, Bugha — the early entries were Fortnite creators, and the skin was a reward for carrying the game. Epic has been widening that for a while, but adding a creator with no Fortnite footprint at all is the clearest statement yet that the Icon Series is now about cultural reach rather than time played in the game.
She was already in the game once
An Ironmouse Sprite arrived as an NPC during Chapter 7 Season 3 — initially by accident, before Epic corrected the release. The Icon Series set is the first time anyone can actually play as her.
It Landed on Day 13 of a Subathon
Epic's post did not arrive on a quiet week. Ironmouse has been live essentially around the clock since September 2 on what her stream titles call the “MOUSEATHON” — 23.9 hours a day, every day, with the title carrying “50% TO IMMUNE DEFICIENCY”. Through September 14 that is 307 hours live, 2,844,534 hours watched, an average of 9,258 concurrent viewers and a peak of 16,925 — already her biggest month of 2026 by a distance, and the month is half over.
The charity split is not incidental. Ironmouse lives with common variable immunodeficiency and streams from home because of it; the subathon format is what made her famous in the first place. She became the most-subscribed woman on Twitch during a 31-day subathon in 2022, and briefly the most-subscribed streamer of all time in September 2024. A Fortnite Icon Series reveal dropping into the middle of one is about as good as marketing timing gets for both sides.
Why This One Matters Beyond Fortnite
Ironmouse has been independent since July 2025, after co-founding VShojo in 2020 and leaving as the agency came apart. A platform-scale brand deal of this size going to an unagented VTuber — rather than to a talent under Hololive, Nijisanji or a Western agency — is the actual industry story here. It says the leverage sits with the individual channel, not the label attached to it.
For VTubing generally it is a ceiling being raised. An avatar can now be an Icon Series Outfit in the biggest game on the planet, and 2.47 million Twitch followers turns out to be worth the same to Epic whether there is a face behind the model or not. If you are considering the format yourself, our free VTubing setup guide covers the software side.
Frequently Asked Questions
When does the Ironmouse Fortnite skin release?
September 18, 2026 at 5:00 PM Pacific — 8:00 PM Eastern, and 1:00 AM BST / 2:00 AM CEST on September 19. That is Fortnite's normal Item Shop rotation time, so the set arrives with the daily shop reset rather than as a separate event.
What is in the Ironmouse Fortnite bundle?
Two Outfits with additional styles, two Emotes, a Pickaxe and a guitar, plus further items Epic has not detailed. Icon Series sets are normally sold both as individual pieces and as a discounted bundle in the Item Shop; Epic has not published prices yet.
How much will the Ironmouse skin cost?
Epic has not announced pricing. For reference, recent Icon Series Outfits have sat around 1,500–1,800 V-Bucks individually, with bundles discounted against the sum of their parts — but treat that as a range from past sets, not a confirmed price for this one.
Is Ironmouse the first VTuber in Fortnite?
She is the first VTuber to get a playable Icon Series Outfit, which is the meaningful first here. She was already in the game before this: Epic added an Ironmouse Sprite as an NPC during Chapter 7 Season 3, briefly by accident before the release was corrected. The Icon Series set is the first time players can actually play as her.
Does Ironmouse play Fortnite?
Essentially never. Across all of 2025 and 2026 she has zero recorded hours streaming Fortnite on Twitch. Her 2026 output is dominated by Just Chatting (3.82M hours watched) and IRL (1.19M), and her game streams run to Warframe, Hytale and Kingdom Hearts. This is a departure from the Icon Series' roots in Fortnite creators like Ninja, Loserfruit and Lachlan.
Who is Ironmouse?
A Puerto Rican VTuber who debuted in 2017, co-founded VShojo in 2020 and has been independent since July 2025. She has 2.47 million Twitch followers. She is known for record-breaking subathons — she became the most-subscribed woman on Twitch in 2022 and briefly the most-subscribed streamer of all time in September 2024 — and she streams from home because she lives with common variable immunodeficiency (CVID).
