The QSMP Awards Are Getting a Live Stage at TwitchCon San Diego
By Mira Okonkwo··5 min read
The awards show for Quackity's multilingual Minecraft server is coming to TwitchCon San Diego on Saturday, November 14 at 2:15pm PT — its first time staged live in front of an audience rather than announced over a stream. That is a small logistical detail with a larger meaning: a Spanish-language-led creator ecosystem is getting a stage at the biggest English-language streaming convention of the year.
The announcement, in full
| What | QSMP Awards — a live show, not a stream |
|---|---|
| When | Saturday, November 14, 2026, 2:15pm PT |
| Where | TwitchCon San Diego, San Diego Convention Center |
| Who | Billed as full of your favourite creators; no line-up published yet |
As of October 12 the show is not yet on the official TwitchCon Shows page, which lists fourteen other events. So the room inside the convention centre, the line-up and whether it streams are all still to come.
Why this one matters
QSMP is a whitelisted Minecraft roleplay server whose entire premise is the language barrier. Creators who do not share a language are dropped onto the same map and have to work it out — which is why its most-shared moments tend to be two people failing to understand each other brilliantly. The original ran from March 2023 to May 2024. A second season launched on March 14, 2026 with a three-day welcome event spanning ten languages. It is big enough on Twitch to have its own category on the platform.
Spanish-language streaming is enormous and chronically under-represented on US convention stages, where the headline slots go to English-language creators almost by default. Look at the rest of the TwitchCon Saturday and that holds. A QSMP show at 2:15pm is a crack in it.
What the awards actually look like
There has been one previous edition — March 23, 2024, for the server's first anniversary, with winners announced through the QSMP Global account. The categories tell you the register: this is not a ceremony with a red carpet.
| Best Language Exchange | Yang Ding and LetsHugo |
|---|---|
| Best Roleplayer | Roier |
| Best PvP | Etoiles |
| Best QSMP Original Song | Slimecicle |
| The Best Prank | Vegetta |
| Most Iconic Clip | Pac |
| The Funniest QSMP Moment | Maximus |
| Best Cucurucho Jumpscare | Bagi |
| The Funniest Death | Acau |
| Best Purgatory II Moment | Wuant |
| Best QSMP Fail | Fit |
Read the right-hand column as a map. Roier is Mexican, Vegetta Spanish, Slimecicle American, Etoiles French, Bagi, Pac, Fit and Acau Brazilian, Wuant Portuguese. Six language communities in one winners list — and an award, Best Language Exchange, that exists purely to celebrate two people getting through to each other. No other awards show on the TwitchCon schedule has a category like that.
Saturday is the stacked day
The 2:15pm slot sits in the gap between the Glitch Theater's 11:00am and 4:30pm shows, which is the obvious place to put it — but TwitchCon has not said, so we are not calling it. The clash to actually plan around is earlier: the Worlds final watch party starts at 10:00am and a best-of-five can run four or five hours, so if Worlds goes long it will still be running when the QSMP show starts.
Frequently Asked Questions
When is the QSMP Awards show at TwitchCon?
Saturday, November 14, 2026, at 2:15pm PT, at TwitchCon San Diego in the San Diego Convention Center. TwitchCon runs November 13–15. As of October 12 the show had not yet appeared on the official TwitchCon Shows page, which lists fourteen other events — so this is a fresh announcement and the venue inside the building has not been published.
What is the QSMP?
A whitelisted, multilingual Minecraft roleplay server run by Quackity and Quackity Studios. The original opened on March 22, 2023 and closed in May 2024. A second season, QSMP 2, launched on March 14, 2026 with a three-day welcome event bringing in creators across ten languages. Its defining feature is the language barrier: creators who do not share a language are put on the same server and have to improvise, which is where most of its best-known moments come from.
Has there been a QSMP Awards before?
Once. The first QSMP Awards was held on March 23, 2024, marking the server's first anniversary, with winners announced through the QSMP Global account. Categories were deliberately unserious — Best Cucurucho Jumpscare, The Funniest Death, Best QSMP Fail, The Most Bankrupt Islander — alongside Best Roleplayer, Best PvP and Best Language Exchange. The TwitchCon show is the first time it has been staged as a live event in front of an audience.
Do I need a TwitchCon pass to watch the QSMP Awards?
Almost certainly, since it is billed as a show at TwitchCon and every other show on the schedule sits inside the convention. Nothing has been published about RSVPs, seating or capacity for this one yet. Whether it also streams on Twitch has not been announced — the previous edition was announced and celebrated online, so a stream would be in keeping, but treat that as an expectation rather than a plan.
Who will be at the QSMP Awards show?
No line-up has been published. The announcement says the show is full of your favourite creators and nothing more specific. For reference, the people who won in 2024 included Roier, Vegetta, Slimecicle, Etoiles, Bagi, Pac, Fit, Wuant and Acau — creators from Mexico, Spain, the United States, France and Brazil.
What else is on at TwitchCon on Saturday November 14?
It is the busiest day of the three. The League of Legends Worlds Watch Party opens the Riot Games Theater at 10:00am, e.l.f. Cosmetics runs a world-record Get Ready With Me attempt in the Glitch Theater at 11:00am, the QSMP Awards follow at 2:15pm, Ironmouse closes the Glitch Theater with a karaoke open stage at 4:30pm, and the TwitchCon Party runs 7:00pm to 10:30pm. There is also a second Minecraft tentpole that weekend — Noxcrew's MC Championship, on Sunday at noon in the Twitch Rivals Arena.
