TwitchCon San Diego 2026: Venue, Hours, Hotels and Getting There

By Mira Okonkwo··5 min read

TwitchCon San Diego 2026 runs November 13–15 at the San Diego Convention Center, 111 W Harbor Dr, San Diego, CA 92101. Thursday the 12th is wristband pickup. This is the on-the-ground half: hours, badges, beds and how to get there.

For dates, pass tiers and the wider TwitchCon picture, start at the TwitchCon hub. Logistics below checked against twitchcon.com.

Hours and Badge Pickup

DayHoursNote
Thursday, November 1212:00pm – 8:00pmWristband pickup only
Friday, November 1310:00am – 7:00pmRegistration from 9:00am
Saturday, November 1410:00am – 7:00pmRegistration from 9:00am
Sunday, November 1510:00am – 6:00pmRegistration from 9:00am

Collect your wristband on Thursday. It is the single piece of advice that changes a TwitchCon morning: pickup opens at noon on the 12th, and taking it then means you walk onto the floor at 10:00am Friday instead of standing in a registration line while the Opening Ceremony runs without you. All times PST.

Where to Stay

The convention centre sits in the Marina district, walking distance from the Gaslamp Quarter — which is where most of the unofficial meetups, dinners and after-parties end up. Staying inside that walk is worth more than saving a few dollars a night, because the evening half of TwitchCon happens on foot.

There are two routes. TwitchCon runs an official hotel block through Passkey (event ID 51115129), advertised as discounted hand-picked hotels. Or you book normally. The block is not automatically cheaper — compare before committing, and book early either way, because November convention weeks price up fast downtown.

Getting There

San Diego International (SAN) is roughly three miles from the convention centre — one of the shortest airport-to-venue hops of any major convention, and a short rideshare rather than an expedition. TwitchCon has a Southwest Airlines discount through SWABIZ under company ID 99694232, which is easy to miss because it sits on the travel page rather than in the ticket flow.

The San Diego Trolley's Green Line serves both the Convention Center and Gaslamp Quarter stations, the latter at 5th Avenue and L Street directly across from the venue. Stay anywhere along that line and you can skip downtown parking entirely — which is the cheaper plan, since convention-centre parking is limited and priced accordingly during event weeks.

Named events confirmed so far: Friday Function hosted by ImDontai, Million to One, Turbo Cup fueled by Honda, Drag Showcase. The detailed session schedule fills in closer to the date.

The Official Party

Saturday November 14, 7:00pm to 10:30pm PST. It is a paid add-on rather than part of a standard pass — $89 as of September 19, rising to $99 after October 27. That buys DJs, games, two drink tickets good for beer, wine or soda, and ballpark food.

If you want it, buy before October 27. If you are unsure, note that Saturday evening in the Gaslamp Quarter is wall-to-wall unofficial meetups that cost nothing — the party is a good night, not the only one.

Accessibility

TwitchCon issues Accessibility Credentials through an application form linked from the official site. These are processed ahead of the event, not handed out at the door, so apply well before you travel — this is the item most likely to be left too late.

Before You Go

Two things to read rather than assume. If you plan to broadcast from the floor, the on-site streaming and filming policy decides what you may point a camera at and who has to consent. And bag, prop and minor supervision rules are the details conventions revise most often — we are not going to guess at them here, so check the official FAQ in the week before you travel.

Packing a mobile rig for it? Our IRL streaming gear guide covers what survives three days of convention floor, and the tickets breakdown covers which pass tier is worth it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is TwitchCon San Diego 2026 held?

The San Diego Convention Center, 111 W Harbor Dr, San Diego, CA 92101, in the downtown Marina district next to the Gaslamp Quarter. It is the same venue TwitchCon used in 2016, 2019, 2022, 2024 and 2025, and Twitch is committed to it through 2028.

What are the TwitchCon San Diego 2026 hours?

Thursday November 12 is wristband pickup only, 12:00pm to 8:00pm. The show runs Friday November 13 and Saturday November 14 from 10:00am to 7:00pm, and Sunday November 15 from 10:00am to 6:00pm. Registration opens at 9:00am on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. All times PST.

Can I pick up my TwitchCon badge early?

Yes, and you should. Wristband pickup runs Thursday November 12 from 12:00pm to 8:00pm, the day before the show opens. Collecting it Thursday means you walk straight in on Friday morning instead of queueing while the Opening Ceremony starts.

Is there an official TwitchCon hotel block?

Yes. TwitchCon runs a hotel block through the Passkey booking portal under event ID 51115129, listed on the official Travel & Hotels page as discounted hand-picked San Diego hotels. There is also a Southwest Airlines discount through SWABIZ under company ID 99694232. Whether the block beats an ordinary booking site varies by date, so it is worth comparing both.

When is the Official TwitchCon Party?

Saturday November 14, 7:00pm to 10:30pm PST. It is a paid add-on, not part of a standard pass — $89 as of September 19, 2026, rising to $99 after October 27. The price covers DJs, games, two drink tickets valid for beer, wine or soda, and ballpark food.

Can I bring children to TwitchCon San Diego?

Yes. Child passes for ages 13 and under are sold as an add-on to an adult pass and start at $75; children under 5 are free. Check the official FAQ for the current supervision rules before you travel, since minor policies are the detail conventions revise most often.

Is TwitchCon San Diego accessible?

TwitchCon issues Accessibility Credentials through an application form linked from the official site. Apply ahead of the event rather than on the day — these are processed in advance, not issued at the door.

Can I stream from the TwitchCon floor?

Within limits, and the limits are the part people get wrong. TwitchCon has a specific on-site streaming and filming policy covering where you may point a camera and who needs to consent — it catches IRL streamers out every year. Read it before you go, not after a staff member stops you.
