Kick vs Twitch by Language: Where Each Platform Wins

Arabic — Kick 95%

The most one-sided market in the data. Streams Charts' review of 2025 found all ten most-watched MENA streamers streaming on Kick, and in September 2026 four of Kick's eight biggest channels streamed in Arabic. It is also concentrated: about 11,100 Arabic Kick channels produced 286 million hours, roughly 25,800 per channel against 7,400 for English Kick channels. Arabic hours on Kick still grew about 7% per day from Q2, but its share of the platform fell from 19.6% to 16.5% as other languages grew faster. Top Arabic Kick channels.

Turkish — Kick 93%

This one has a clear cause. In February 2024 Turkish regulators blocked both Twitch and Kick over gambling content; Kick restricted Turkish users' access to its gambling sections and was unblocked, and Streams Charts measured Turkish watch time on Kick nearly doubling from February to March 2024 as Elraenn, Jahrein and others moved over. Today Turkish Kick is a long tail — 28,500 channels, Kick's third-largest language by channel count — and its hours slipped about 10% per day from Q2 to Q3.

Spanish — Kick 56%

Spanish grew on both platforms from Q2 to Q3 — about 24% per day on Kick and 8% on Twitch. Kick's side is led by Colombian streamer westcol, who moved to Kick in 2023 and drew 9.0 million hours and a 1.1 million peak from September 1 to 25 (see our story on his stream with Colombia's president). Streams Charts' June and August recaps both note Latin American creators leading Kick's female rankings. Stream language cannot separate Spain from Latin America.

Portuguese — Kick 56%

The quarter's biggest mover: Portuguese went from 8.7% to 13.5% of Kick's hours, and its per-day hours on Kick roughly doubled while Portuguese on Twitch fell about 9%. It follows a visible push for Brazilian creators — Kick hosted an invitation-only World Cup watch party in Brazil on June 13 with Gaules, Coringa, PaulinhoLOKO, Baiano and Jon Vlogs, whose World Cup IRL marathon put him in Kick's top group in June. The data shows the shift; it does not prove which of these caused it.

Thai — Kick 78%

Thai barely registered on Kick in Q2 (under 0.1% of hours) and reached 2.6% in Q3 — 45 million hours from about 2,200 channels. Thai viewing on Twitch fell by about a third per day over the same period. We found no reliable reporting on why, so this is data only.

Polish, Czech, Finnish — Kick 60–68%

Smaller markets with Kick majorities. Polish is the notable one: 4,300 Kick channels drew 84.5 million hours, against 46.5 million from 10,300 Polish Twitch channels. Top Polish Kick channels.

Japanese — Kick 22.5%

A minority share but the most concentrated audience in the data: 933 Japanese Kick channels produced 75 million hours, about 80,600 each, and korekore_ch alone drew 7.1 million hours from September 1 to 25. Japanese hours on Kick grew about 32% per day from Q2.

English, Russian, French, German — Twitch

Twitch holds 83% of English, 93% of Russian, 96.5% of French and more than 98% of German watch time. English is still Kick's largest language by volume, but on Twitch it is five times bigger. If you stream in one of these languages, the Twitch route — Affiliate requirements first — is where the audience already is.
