TikTok LIVE Subscription Is Now Super Fan: Price, Perks and What Creators Earn

Since September 15, 2025, TikTok's LIVE Subscription has been replaced by Super Fan: a LIVE-only membership at $9.99 a month, of which the creator gets up to 50% of TikTok's net revenue. The separate Subscription feature now covers non-LIVE content, with a price you set and a 70% share. Gifts are still TikTok LIVE's headline economy; Super Fan is the recurring layer under them.

You can run both. TikTok's advice is to set up whichever program you do not already have and tell your community about each — video-based perks through Subscription, LIVE perks through Super Fan.
Who Can Turn It On
- Super Fan needs a Fan Club. Your Fan Club launches the first time a viewer sends a Heart Me gift in your LIVE, so you need LIVE access (see how to go live on TikTok) and LIVE Gifts switched on.
- 18 or older (19 in South Korea) for TikTok's LIVE monetization features, per TikTok's LIVE Creator Networks guidance.
- A personal account. TikTok limits gifts to personal accounts, so a Business account cannot build a Fan Club through gifts.
- An account in good standing. Violations can cost you monetization access — the LIVE rules matter beyond the stream itself.
- For Subscription (non-LIVE): over 10,000 followers, over 100,000 video views in the last calendar month, and 18+. Profile → TikTok Studio → Monetization Programs → Subscription shows whether you qualify.
- Regional availability. TikTok says some monetization features are only available in selected countries and regions.

What Changed for Existing Subscribers
- LIVE-based creators: existing subscribers moved into Super Fan. Anyone paying more than $9.99 dropped to $9.99; anyone paying $9.99 or less kept the lower price for three months.
- Video-based creators: subscribers kept their Subscription access; LIVE perks from the same creator now need a separate Super Fan membership.
- LIVE features moved. Sub-only LIVEs and LIVE stickers are being folded into Super Fan, while Subscription is adding sub-only posts and stories, Q&A and group chats.

Setting It Up Well
- 1Get the Fan Club going first: set Heart Me as a LIVE goal and pin a comment explaining it, so new viewers join without you repeating it all stream.
- 2In LIVE Center, set a Super Fan goal for the stream and say what unlocks when you hit it.
- 3Pick two or three custom benefits you can actually deliver every stream — priority co-host slots, pinned questions, a shoutout on entry.
- 4Open the Super Fan space and post in it between streams: a poll on the next game, a topic thread. It is the part of the membership that exists when you are offline.
- 5Use Super Fan-only LIVEs sparingly. Turn on Allow preview so others can watch for up to 60 seconds, and remember you cannot switch back to a normal LIVE without restarting.
- 6Mention Super Fan once per stream at a natural moment, then stop. Constant asks make the badge feel cheap.
Do not paywall the stream. Super Fan-only chat or LIVE as your default kills the discovery TikTok is good at. New viewers arrive from the For You feed with zero attachment; if they cannot talk, they leave, and they never become Super Fans.
